Students are expected to complete clinical orientation for the EMC program prior to attending rotations. Students are directed to review the modules and articles listed below. Students will be presented with an examination prior to attending rotations that they must successfully pass with a minimum score of 80%. The examination will cover all of the material presented in the modules below as well as the Clinical Manual and Syllabus. Patient Rights and Responsibilities In addition to the EMC program clinical orientation, students will also be responsible for completing any all required orientations for specific sites. Some of these additional orientation materials have been made available to the EMC program and are listed below. Some of these will have to be completed during student clinical orientation with the EMC program on campus. MedWest (Harris Regional Hospital) To facilitate readiness for clinical placement in any MedWest facility, all students must review the online Academic Affiliate Clinical Orientation Manual and complete the required documents in advance of the start of the clinical experience. These manuals are to be turned into the Clinical Coordinator. Students must review the manual and sign all required pages within the manual. This must be completed and turned into the Clinical Coordinator in advance of the start of the clinical experience. The Clinical Coordinator will issue user ID's and give further directions to students as to when to complete these modules.
