  3. ANIMOTO: Let's see your stories.... 1/2 now, 1/2 next week

  4. Google and Chrome hand in hand allow for some powerful tools you can use for your classroom including (Google) Classroom. This week you will explore some of the options that the Google Suite of Tools has to offer.

  5. Getting Google-y: So far we've used Google: Blogger (blogspot), Sites, Drive, Jamboard, and gmail. Here are a few more to consider:

STUDIO TIME

  1. From within your class gmail account, create a form with a Name (short answer) field, and three questions all of which you designate as required (designated by red *) Copy/Paste your form link into a shared Google Sheets document. NOTE: If your school uses G Suite for Education (Google tools like Classroom, Docs, and Meets), consider creating a Google Form you can use for your students, colleagues, or families.
  2. More practice with WeVideo (http://www.wevideo.com/):
    • ADDING SOUND
      • You can add music from WeVideo (copyright free) or upload your own music (be aware of copyright restrictions on music you add)
        • Adjusting volumn of the entire track - volumn matters!
        • Adjusting volumn by setting individual audio keyframes (blue dots on audio volume blue line)
      • You can add narration to your timeline by recording directly into WeVideo or recording in Audacity and uploading into WeVideo to add to a new audio track (NOTE: This is a good Plan B if your narration does not record as you wish within WeVideo)
      • Log in with your class gmail account. NOTE: You may NOT use an alternate account (free version) and MUST use your class gmail account to be part of the WCU "network" and avoid the watermark.

      • Start a new edit and if you wish upload your media or if not, use what's in our shared folder in Drive.

      • Practice putting your media along the timeline.
        • IMAGES: You can edit to shorten duration on screen/view from either end

        • VIDEO: You can split within the video by positioning your playhead along the timeline and use the scissor tool to cut in two. If you wish, you can insert other images in between

      • You can also edit video and music using a variety of options - click on the pencil icon to see what you can do

      • Browse along the top menu items to see what these menu items offer: Transitions, Effects, Text, Themes, etc.

      • Click “Play” to preview at any time to see how your video is shaping up.

      • Because it is "in the cloud", there is nothing to download and install, and it saves automatically.

      • When you are done and ready to share to Vimeo or download to your computer, click Finish and let the video process. Once published in WeVideo, you can download it to your computer as an .mp4 file
