  4. Coding with blocks
    • OBSERVE Cubetto for young learners/coders
    • PLAY https://blockly.games/ [this supports your assignment for this week]
    • Sphero demo
      • Controlling it via touch on your device
      • Controlling it using a preset program with drawing or block coding

  5. Spheros and the app on your phone - Three ways to control the spherical robot

    Go to the Sphero Edu app on your phone and click the following icons at the bottom of the screen.

    1. Touch Control (icon in yellow square)
      • Find and pair your device with your group's Sphero. Make sure to choose the correct Sphero and not another group's
      • Calibrate the Sphero by using Aim to aim the light on the Sphero toward you
      • Use the remote control on your phone/iPad to move the Sphero and change speed, etc.

    2. Choose Activities (icon in red square)s.
      • Sign in as a Student to join your class for your section and day
      • Enter the class code for your section (see below) and choose the middle icon "Resources" to try out one of the class programs to run on your Sphero (e.g. WCU pride, Disco Dance Party, Magic Eight Ball)

    3. Create your own programs (draw or block) by choosing Programs (icon in green square)
      • Click the plus sign and start with a Draw program
      • If you are feeling adventurous, create a Blocks program using the blocks at the bottom of the screen and drag them into the work space
