of medieval literature and culture on modern popular speculative fictions
(primarily science fiction and fantasy literature).

to which modern fantasy writings are indebted to a reconstruction of
the "real" feudal middle ages, especially the works of such
writers as Ursula LeGuin and J.R.R. Tolkien.

between classical mythology, fairy tales, and modern speculative fictions,
such as science fiction and fantasy writings.
