Welcome to the
Western Carolina University Trumpet Studio
Located in Cullowhee, North Carolina, the Western Carolina University Trumpet Studio is one of the top studios within the WCU School of Music. Each semester this group of 25-30 talented students study individually with Dr. P. Bradley Ulrich and Mr. David Ginn. Each student will have the opportunity to study with both professors during their tenure at WCU, which will afford them the opportunity to learn twice as much as most other university trumpet studios!
In addition to individual instruction, trumpet students also attend a weekly master class and have the opportunity to perform with the highly acclaimed WCU Trumpet Ensemble.
The WCU Trumpet ensemble performs on campus each semester as well as annually at the Trumpet Festival of the Southeast. This fine ensemble was selected four times, by recorded audition, to perform at the International Trumpet Guild Conference.
