You will need to sign up for a CLASS google account.

THIS IS A NEW ACCOUNT JUST FOR THIS CLASS! DO NOT USE AN EXISTING GMAIL ACCOUNT!

We will use this designated account for activities in this class including the Google suite of tools (e.g. gmail, Google sites, Google drive, Google Forms, etc.) The course syllabus has more information on this and the use of Google Tools in the class.

  1. Create a new gmail account for this class. YOU MUST use this convention/combination and not a personal gmail account or any part of your WCU catamount account. This is a class account you will use to explore web-based tools for class. It is a requirement of the course!

    All lowercase and NO spaces using all three initials if possible. Only use a number if you have to because the account is already taken.

    • xxxinclusiveteacher@gmail.com [example: lrsinclusiveteacher@gmail.com OR example: lrs2inclusiveteacher@gmail.com]

    • [NOTE: the letters designated with xxx are YOUR initials - add a number to your initials if needed (e.g. ncl2)]

  2. Use a password that is familiar, has both letters and numbers, and is between 8-12 characters

  3. You may have to verify by phone or text; this number is only used for this purpose and not "mined" by Google.

  4. You will use this account to sign up for tools that you will use in this class and perhaps later when you are teaching (if you wish).

  5. NOTE: You must create a new Google email account using the pattern above, do not use one you have created previously and follow the guidelines above!
