    3. Google Classroom. Used by millions of students and classrooms across the world:
    4. Let's see some ways to use Google Classroom for student work and communication, including global learning
    5. Google Earth:
    6. STUDIO TIME: Creating a virtual tour using the Projects option in Google Earth.

Let's explore a few examples (NOTE: Google Earth recently changed, so some of these options are no longer available.)

    But wait, there's more:

      1. Open Google Earth (https://earth.google.com/) on your Chromebook and start a new project using the New button. Make it a Drive project.

      2. Add a title and a robust one paragraph description - personal or informational

      3. Now you are ready to add locations by searching on your places:
        1. Search for a location - the place or a place within the place (e.g., Paris or the Eiffel Tower)
        2. Once at the location look at the information box at the top right of the screen and choose "Save to Project" and keep the same information offered by Google UNLESS you wish to change it since it's a personal location and you want to add your own description and upload photos/images.
        3. Now edit the information for that feature (location/pin) by clicking on it from the list at the left of the screen and then the pencil icon.
        4. Now click on the Pegman (yellow man icon) and notice the blue circles around your added location. Explore them until you find one you like and wish to add to your project.
        5. From within the photosphere view, save it to your project by using the "Capture this view" icon in the bottom left of the screen. Go back to your project and name it "My location Street View"
        6. Do this for at least four locations for a total of eight or more pins (two "views" of each location)
        7. Your work is saved as you go in Google Drive as long as you are connected to the internet.

      REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS PROJECT

      • Title and 1 paragraph description for project location (cite source if not your own words)
      • Four or more features (location pins) added
      • For each of your features/locations, add a street view with label "Statue of Liberty street view"
      • Make sure you have eight (8) or more items in your project - four pairs for each location: one pin and one photosphere
      • Set SHARE LINK to anyone with the link can view.
      • Now, write a profile of this tool. THIS IS WEB 2.0 #4!
