Course Description
Overview of
paramedic curriculum. Preparatory review for certifying
exams.
Objectives
1. To review and place in context the medical portion of the
paramedic curriculum and to prepare the student for certifying exams.
2. To allow the
student to refine skills in oral presentation, discussion, and rebuttal.
3. To verify terminal competency at the paramedic level.

Instructional Methodology
This course will utilize both lecture and seminar
formats. Students will select two (2)
dates in which the assigned topic(s) are of interest to them. Students will then prepare a 45-60 minute
presentation on the topic(s) which will then be delivered to the class. Each presentation will be followed by a 15-30
minute discussion period. All students
are expected to read the assigned material and participate in class
discussions. Study guides (quizzes) for
each session must be submitted in WebCT no later than
