Practice 4:  Who has the pencil?  Pass a pencil around the class.

Ask your classmates who has the pencil.

Use the Set B vstem verb –vya 'have a long object.'

Use the following example dialog.

Kag iyusdi digohwelodohdi uwaya?

Who has the pencil?

 

 

 

b:

Tsali digohwelodohdi uwaya.

Charles has the pencil.

 

 

 

b:

Kag iyusdi digohwelodohdi uwaya nogwu?

Now who has the pencil?

 

 

 

c:

Ayv nole Meli digohwelododi oginvya.

Mary and I have the pencil.

Note that the third person singular form of the verb is slightly irregular:  Digohwelodohdi uwaya. 'She has a pencil.'
