Cherokee 132Unit 7: On-Going Activities |7.2.  Grammar 2

Grammar 1 :  The dialog focuses on Set A person pronouns.  There are four closely related groups of Set A person pronouns.  The present tense verb –gi'a 'eat a solid food' begins with the consonant g.  It is a Set A c1-stem verb and it takes Set A c1-stem pronouns in the present tense.  The third person singular pronoun is a- 'she/he' and the first person singular pronoun is tsi- 'I'.  Many of the other pronouns end with i.  The language requires i between the consonant of the pronoun and the consonant of the stem.
