Some Inspiration.....
What part of this video resonates with you? Which of these teachers tells part of *your* story as a future teacher?
  1. BEGINNING OF CLASS ROUTINE/PROCEDURES:
    1. Put your phones out of sight and stowed for the duration of the flight class.
    2. Pick up a Chromebook and follow the printed directions you have been given (also here) to log in to the Chromebook. Try three times and then ask your instructor for help.
    3. Open the Chrome browser and type in bit.ly/digilit to go to our web agenda for the day/week/semester
    4. Once you have gone to the web ("bitly") agenda, click on While You Are Waiting and do the activities for that day's class. The first activity will always be to sign in for attendance using the Google Form link presented. After that, you'll explore what is offered for that day - WYAW (While You Are Waiting).

  2. Let's Customize our Chromebooks a little more:
    1. Next, let's set a shortcut for the Chrombook files area
      1. Press the search key (looks like a magnifying glass) on the left of the keyboard
      2. Search on the keyword "File"
      3. Look for the blue circle with a folder in it icon
      4. Position your mouse on the icon and right click to get the menu items
      5. Choose, "Pin to Shelf"
      6. It should appear at the bottom of your screen
      7. Click to see your files and BTW, also access to your Google Drive

    2. Go to Pixabay https://pixabay.com/photos/ and search for a copyright free image to us as your desktop wallpaper
      1. Search for your image (NOTE: Don't use those at the top since they are not free but "sponsored" and cost $)
      2. Click the image and choose the green "Free Download" button and then the smaller green "Download" button just above it
      3. If you get the "I'm not a robot" option, complete it to proceed.
      4. Give it a bit to download to your Chromebook files area
      5. Go to your Chrombook desktop and get the menu for "Set wallpaper"
      6. Scroll to the bottom to find "My Images" and choose your image. It should appear.

  3. Let's talk about the standards....for Technology!? YES!

  4. Tech Connection: Google Docs with your group: Link to shared folder and then choose your standard to report on.
  5. Spin the Wheel: https://wheelofnames.com/s84-9pq for a little community building

  6. More with your website.....
      1. Explore the options for changing the image on the homepage

      2. Add pages to your site called Web 2.0 #1, Web 2.0 #2, Web 2.0 #3, Web 2.0 #4, and Web 2.0 #5

      3. Include the following on your HOMEPAGE for 1.5 points of credit
        1. Text box #1: A 2-3 sentence bio paragraph introducing yourself. Make it interesting!

        2. Text box #2: A  paragraph about your favorite professional technology (2-3 sentences)  and your favorite personal technology (2-3 sentences). IF POSSIBLE, INCLUDE THE LINK TO BOTH.

        3. Change the background and/or banner image

        4. CHOOSE ONE TO ADD:
          • An image on the page
          • A map under your bio text box showing where you live or another relevant location
          • A youtube video that's relevant with a one sentence caption
          • ADVANCED:  A carousel of images

      4. SUBMIT THE LINK TO YOUR **PUBLISHED** WEBSITE IN CANVAS UNDER ASSIGNMENTS >> WEBSITE HOMEPAGE TO SHOW YOUR ASSIGNMENT IS COMPLETE AND READY FOR SCORING
