TODD WHITE NAMED NHL

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

OTTAWA - The National Hockey League (NHL) announced today that Todd White was named NHL Player of the month for December.

White, 27, led all Senators and was among the League leaders in scoring for December, recording seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points. White recorded points in 11 of his 15 games while also recording a +8 rating and a six-game point streak (3+7=10) from December 5-16.

White, an Ottawa native, also won the Club’s Molson Cup Player of the month award after helping his Senators post a 10-3-2-0 record in December.

The honour was only second such award bestowed to a Senators player. Goaltender Ron Tugnutt was first honoured in April 1997 (5-2-0, 1.86 GAA).
