WCUMUN participated in the WCU International Festival, where we were able to educate children about the United Nations.

  • Congratulations on an award winning year! At our last meeting of the year we adopted a new set of Bylaws. The new bylaws can be found here. We also elected officer for the new MUN year.
    • President: Amy Black
    • Vice President of Model UN: Tyler Melton
    • Vice President of Debate: Max West
    • Secretary: Kate Palmer
    • Chief Information Officer: Jerry Rice IV
    We have 2 more offices left open that we will fill at the beginning of fall semester: Chief Financial Officer and Chief Project Officer. We are also planning our high school conference for next year, so please fill out your staff applications. They are due by May 15th and are available online, here. Have a great summer and we'll see you in the fall!

  • Our next training seminar will be held on Thursday February 3rd at 5pm on the second floor UC. Please continue to check the website for the exact room. We will be conducting regular business and be going over parliamentary procedure and resolution writing as well. It is very important that new members attend. If you have any questions or will be unable to attend on Thursday, please email Max, Bernd, or Amy.

  • Our next regular meeting/position paper workshop will be held on Monday, January 31 at 3:30pm. We will try to get the Computer Lab in the Outreach Center. Please check back for more information regarding the location of Monday's meeting.

  • Please turn in Position Paper drafts as soon as possible so that we can have them proofread and returned to you on Monday. Send them to Max (maxwest@post.com), Bernd (bernd.dickhoven@web.de) and Amy (amydblack@hotmail.com).

  • Our first regular meeting of the year will be held today at 4pm. We will meet in the lobby of Hunter Library at 4pm and may move to the e-class room. If the e-class is unavailable we will be in one of the large study rooms downstairs. We look forward to seeing you there!

  • Position papers for DayMUN are due to the executive committee by this Thursday, 1/27.

  • It is mandatory that all members join a committee. We are all more than willing to find a way to work with your schedule.

  • The Conference Committee has decided on Jan. 28-30, 3005 as the dates for the Cullowhee Valley Conference for Highschools. Elections for administrative conference positions will be held the 5th week in October. More information will be posted on the Conference Committee Homepage

  • We will be holding at least 2 more Raffle Fundraisers this semester. One will be held Sat, Nov. 6 at Wal-mart and the other will be held Nov. 13 at the WCU vs. ASU football game, during tailgating before the game and perhaps through the first half.   • The next training seminar will be held Sun, Oct. 24 at 1:00pm. All members who can are expected to attend. If you are unable to attend please let the training committee chairman know (Shinyshade@aol.com)

  • There will be a Model United Nations meeting Thursday, Sept. 30 at 5:15 pm in Belk conference room 287. It will not be Belk 279 as originally announced. The meeting will be held in Belk 287.

  • Model UN will be having a 50/50 raffle at the University Center Thursday, Sept. 30 from 11-1ish outside and on the 2nd floor. We will have more information regarding the drawing up soon. Hope to see you there!
