Lesson Plan

Focus:                        Skill-theme

Sub-focus:                  other skill-themes & movement concepts taught or used during the lesson

Objective:                   goal of the lesson (ritten in general terms)

Equipment/materials:    list of equipment, media materials, etc

Safety concerns:          identify any safety isuues with the space, equipment, nature of the activity, etc.



Introduction to lesson (set induction): Provide information about what the students are learning in the lesson, give examples, use media (optional), provide a "hook" that grabs the student’s interest.

Development of the Content

I: Informing Task: The initial task given before you decide to change the tasks

E:  Extending Tasks: changing tasks by working through an appropriate progression

R: Refining Tasks: giving cues to help refine skill practice

A: Applying Tasks: challenging the students to use the skill in a different situation from practice.

Closure: Close lesson with a review of the content taught, tie it into your set induction, ask questions, have students give examples (verbal or by showing).
