Allen is currently the band director of Northside High School in Beaufort County, NC. He teaches the Marching Band, Chorus, and spends some time at the neighboring middle schools. Allen still plays his Euphonium along with his students when he gets the chance. He is also working on his trumpet and woodwind playing ability; as for now, the 6th graders are the only ones who are impressed. Allen feels that the best way for high school students to improve is to take a focused studio style approach to practicing in addition to their ensemble rehearsals. |
