Swamp Monster Cover

Her second full-length book of poems, The Swamp Monster at Home, is now available from LSU Press. Yes, you can buy it from any of the big online bookstores, like Amazon, but it'd be even better if you patronized an INDEPENDENT bookstore, like our own City Lights.

"Your guide speaks earthquake..." --Sarah Lindsay

"I admire everything about this book. Everything." --Fred Chappell

"Carter shows us the world anew..." --Ron Rash

"...utterly unique--wry and quiet and carrying a velvet sledgehammer..."---Thomas Lux on The Memory of Gills
