Faculty and Staff
In a continuing effort to improve campus technology, the Division of IT will be updating the current Paws web server for faculty and staff. The updated Paws server offers increased space and new scripting languages for site development. The scripting languages that Paws will support are: ASP.NET, Perl, PHP, HTML. The amount of storage allotted to users will go from 100MB on the current environment to 500MB on the updated Paws. All currently employed faculty/staff will automatically have an account on this updated server. Faculty and staff with websites on the current Paws will NOT need to migrate their sites to the updated Paws server, as it will be migrated automatically. The migration process will take place during July 23rd and will be complete by 27th. During this week all websites on Paws will still be available for browsing, but ftp access will be turned off until the migration is complete. Once the migration is complete you will be able to upload/update files on your website again. If you have any questions about the upgrade, please contact the Technology support Counter (TAC) located on the ground floor of Hunter Library or phone 227-7487.
